Funny Story: “Boss! I Found a Leader in the Tent!”

Location: Green Whisper Eco Resort – organized by VN Tour Land Program: MICE combined with internal training – Theme: “Awaken the Pioneer Within” On the first day of the MICE trip, after a formal opening ceremony, employees of the company Steel-As-Wood Ltd. (yes, that’s the actual name – don’t ask) were split into 4 teams: Tidal Wave, Desert Wind, Flying Sand, and Sudden Showers. The ever-serious CEO – Mr. Hung – decided to personally join Team Sudden Showers to “lead by example”. But the weather was scorching hot, and the morning seminar ran a little long (thanks to an overly emotional emcee), so by the time the team-building activities started, the boss quietly snuck off to nap in a tent. The Turning Point Game: “Find the Hidden Pioneer” That afternoon, VN Tour Land gave a new challenge: “Each team must find one unexpected leader among them – someone no one would ever guess – and bring that person on stage to inspire everyone!” Team Sudden Showers was stuck. No one wanted to speak in public. Just then, Linh – the intern who laughs uncontrollably when nervous – went to grab some water from the tent… and saw Mr. Hung snoring away, still hugging his 7 Habits of Highly Effective People book. She screamed: “I found one! The hidden leader is in the tent!” The team cheered and – in a historic team-building moment – carried the whole tent onto the main stage. VN Tour Land’s organizers were confused. Then out came Mr. Hung, dazed and pillow-faced, pulled into the spotlight beneath a massive banner: “Leadership is Always Present – Even in Unexpected Places!” Frozen for three seconds, Mr. Hung then gave a surprisingly heartfelt speech about “leadership and trust” (he had no choice – they already gave him the mic). By the end, he received a standing ovation.
